Use isfloat if you just want to verify that x is a floating-point number. This function returns logical 1 ( true) if the input is a floating-point number, and logical 0 ( false) otherwise: isfloat (x) ans = logical 1. You can convert other numeric data, characters or strings, and logical data to double precision using the MATLAB function, double.Floating-Point Operator core treats all NaNs as Quiet NaNs. When any NaN is supplied as one of the operands to the core, the result is a Quiet NaN, and an invalid operation exception is not raised (as would be the case for signaling NaNs). The exceptions to this rule are floating-point to fixed-point conversion and the absolute value operator.
III. BINARY TO FLOATING POINT CONVERSION Our proposal is to convert the floating point number into a simple yet quite precise integral representation and perform the calculations on the same, followed by the final conversion of the output into its expected floating point result format. The floating point data is inputted in two parts.
